Replicarea datelor psihometrice ale scalei de competențe socio-emoţionale

Scala de competențe socio-emoționale (Seal et al., 2011) își are originea în domeniul inteligenței emoționale, a inteligenței sociale și a dezvoltării competențelor. În cadrul acestei scale, dezvoltarea competenţelor socio-emoţionale se referă la creşterea capacităţii de cunoaştere emoţională şi îmbunătăţirea comportamentului social, cu scopul de a obţine rezultatele dezirabile într-un anumit context. În acest studiu, am recalculat proprietățile psihometrice ale scalei de competențe socio-emoționale pe un eșantion mai extins (1502 participanți) și mai divers față de primul studiu, în care scala a fost tradusă și adaptată pe populația românească. Datele au arătat că indicatorii psihometrici nu doar se mențin, ci se și îmbunătățesc. Structura factorială de 4 factori din traducerea și adaptarea inițială se păstrează, cei 4 factori explicând peste 50% din varianța totală. În ceea ce privește consistența internă a scalei, aceasta a crescut de la .89 (varianta din traducerea și adaptarea inițială) la .91 (analiza actuală), atât la nivel general, cât și pe subscale. Rezultatele arată cu certitudine că scala păstrează proprietățile inițiale, iar unele sunt chiar superioare, astfel recomandând-o ca un instrument excelent de măsurare a competențelor socio-emoționale.
